The Teachers
Scott "Reno" Brian started learning drums at the age of 10. After attending the University of Nevada, Reno and San Jose State University, Reno had picked up his nick name and a Bachelors Degree in Music. Reno studied with Tony Cirone while at San Jose State. Tony played with the San Francisco Philharmonic for 35 years and currently teaches at Indiana University. Reno then attended the University of North Texas where he received his Masters Degree in Jazz Studies. While in Texas Reno studied with Ed Soph, world renowned drummer who played with Woody Herman's band, and Lyn Seaton, bass player for Count Basie's Band. Over the years, Reno has played with many groups and traveled all over the world. Music had brought him to Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Hawaii before even graduating high school. Music also brought him in contact with many other great artist. Reno has played on stage with John Faddis, Dizzy Gillespie, Keiko Abe, Eddie Gale, Artie Shaw, Mark Levine, Kim Richmond, Tony Cirone, Steve Lawrence & Edie Gorme, Don Menza, Bill Berry, and Margie Baker. Since then, he has been to Taiwan with his percussion group, Different Strokes Percussion. He can be seen around the Bay Area playing with The Jack Conway Trio, www.jackconwaytrio.com. Reno also composes music and has led his own groups before. One of these, R+5, recorded a CD before he left Texas. He has also recorded CD's with several other groups including Symphonic Wind Music of David R. Holsinger, Vol. 4. Reno is currently on contract with Hudson Entertainment, a large media company in Northern California. He composes cell phone ring tones and video game music for them every month. He also has a excellent reputation as a teacher in the Bay Area. Reno started teaching privately when he was 16 years old. He teaches several San Jose high schools, and one local middle school. His students continue to rise to great musical excellence. Reno list his occupation as Drummer, Percussionist, Composer, Arranger, Teacher. As you can see, this description is very fitting.

Juanita Harris studied music at Cal State Humboldt and graduated from Boston's Berklee College of Music. An accomplished singer and violinist, she recently returned from a ten-year hiatus on the East Coast to see what the Bay Area could do for her restless musician's soul. She says "I love my classical, old school R&B and a little hard rock too, but apparently singing jazz is where my voice likes to be." Juanita digs Sarah Vaughan and Ella. For instrumentalists she is into the entire Marsalis family, particularly Branford and Wynton. Juanita currently performs with The Choral Project and The Jack Conway Trio.
